A film about one person...
who breaks the cycle of violence and addiction in his life...
to be the change in his community.

The Film

In September 2010, William Kozielski Jr. made a prayer that changed his life, a prayer that turned his heart "from stone to flesh".

In this documentary, William shares his journey to re-enter society and recounts the patterns that kept him trapped in a cycle of anger and addiction from the age of thirteen.

A parolee for less than a year, William focuses on being a loving father to his three-year-old son, and rolling up his sleeves to work as a welder to make end's meet.   His release from prison in July 2012 marks a new chapter in his life as a young father and a man on a mission, to use his story to mentor youth out of delinquent behavior.

His example defies the odds and offers hope and promise that change is possible with the right motivation.

Ezekial 36:26:27- "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statute and you will keep my judgments and do them."

The story of a twenty-nine-year-old parolee who is breaking the cycle of violence in his community, and mentoring youth out of gangs and delinquent behavior.

"The film portrays a situation where an offender who has been through the prison system time and time again, finally decides to change his path, from one of crime and destruction to one of redemption."

- Commissioner Christopher B. Epps, Mississippi Department of Correction

"I believe this film will help to break new ground will be used as a positive intervention tool for years to come and impact thousands of lives."

- Alison Fast, Director/Producer, "Will To Change"
